Fexofenadine hydrochloride, the active ingredient of ALLEGRA tablets, ALLEGRA ODT and ALLEGRA oral suspension, is an antihistamine drug used in the treatment of high fever and similar allergy symptoms. It is indicated to relieve the physical symptoms associated with seasonal allergic rhinitis and treatment of chronic idiopathic urticaria.

The labeling of Allegra recommends dosing of one 60-mg capsule, twice in a day. The recommended starting dose for subjects with decreased kidney function is 60 mg, once in a day.
