Pollens are small particles that came from flowers, trees, grains and grasses that are carried by the wind. The main purpose of these pollens is to fertilize other plants, but others would not reach their target, and they would instead enter a human nose or throat causing irritation. Others would just sneeze or cough in order to evacuate or expel the pollen out of their body, but some could not fully evacuate this pollen which then would aggravate or cause allergic reaction known as pollen allergy.
Although pollen allergy is said to be seasonal, pollens, as the allergens, are the most common or widespread cause of allergies compared to foods, drugs, and pet dander.
Not all pollen have the same intensity on affecting or causing an allergies, there are these types of pollens that are less likely to affect, but still there are these pollens that are highly to affect or aggravate allergies.
Like any other allergies, pollen allergy could be preventable. The best way is that, the person who has this type of allergy must avoid exposure to pollens by simply knowing what time of the day would the pollen have the highest peak or the lowest peak of release, by not going outdoors during the peak seasons, or simple by using handkerchiefs to prevent such pollens to go through one’s nose or eyes.
